Battle of the (Bristol Legal) Bands rocks The Fleece!
The Battle of the Legal Bands returned to Bristol last week organised by BLS with all profits going to the Charity of the Year, SARSAS.
Hosted by the fantastic team at The Fleece and with 250 tickets sold, 3Pb's Out of Office, Osborne Clarke's OC/DC, VWV's The Narrow Keys, Thrings' Stranger Thrings and the mighty rufus played to an enthusiastic and very appreciative audience. Ably MC'd by Vice President of BLS, Stuart Henry, and judged by music industry experts Pete Thistlethwaite and Ryan Gleeson, all the bands performed brilliantly but the final decision went to 3PB's Out of Office who had provided a polished energetic crowd pleasing performance. They returned to the stage with a 3 track encore of Proud Mary, Disco 2000 and Don't Look Back in Anger.
The night raised a fantastic £2559.18 for the charity. Julie commented "We were thrilled to be part of this brilliant event and the amount raised is incredible. This will make a huge difference to the lives of the people we support. We can’t thank BLS enough for making us their charity of the year or the talented musicians and performers who took to the stage."
Thanks again to all the bands who took part and all those who came to support the event.
You can read a fuller report of the night here in Bristol Business News.
Photo Gallery coming very soon! Thanks to Aaron Sims of Thrings who kindly took all the photographs on the evening!
If you missed it, fear not, there are plans afoot to do it again next summer, so watch this space!
