Pro Bono Week takes place across the UK this year from 6 to 10 November.

Through events and
comms it is an opportunity to recognise, showcase and discuss the voluntary contribution of the
legal profession in giving free legal help to those in need.

Arrange an event
Pro Bono Week is a great time to arrange an event to promote or discuss pro bono. Many
events are external occasions organised in partnership with others, while others are internal
events for colleagues at an organisation. There are three suggested themes this year:
▪ Changing lives through pro bono
▪ Maximising the impact of pro bono
▪ Pro bono within ESG: from climate to sustainable development

Share content on social media
Pro Bono Week is a perfect time to post on social media or your website about your
commitment to pro bono, or to thank your volunteers, or to showcase a particular pro bono

Three things to say about my experience of working with Bristol Law Society. Their central team, council members and general hangers-on are just about the nicest, most generous group of people working in the legal sector today. The numerous events, awards, socials and conferences I’ve had the pleasure to attend over the years have been, without exception, top quality and supremely organised.
