Bristol + Bath LegalTech launch BBLT Academy

Bristol+BathLegalTech (BBLT) are proud to formally announce the launch of what is our most ambitious and important project yet: the BBLT Academy.

BBLT has joined forces with Bristol Law Society, the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) and a rapidly growing range of trainers, experts and content providers to offer our legal community in the West of England a growing library of content.

We aim to create a powerful resource for developing digital skills, understanding and managing legaltech, innovating legal services and working smarter.  The content will mix unique, commissioned material with a curated ‘playlist’ of some of the best learning resources we find on our travels and bring back home.  While our primary focus is, unapologetically, on helping lawyers and everyone working in the legal sector to develop the digital skills they need in our fast-transforming world, we are also on a mission to serve up deeper-dive content that meets the complex needs of technology professionals, legal operations and engineering specialists and innovation leaders.

The core principles behind the Academy are enshrined in our original BBLT Mission (see more at https://www.bblegaltech.com/our-mission/ ):

We will deliver an unrivalled toolkit to support the embedding of cutting-edge digital skills and knowledge right across the region’s legal sector, in every type of organisation and at every level and to enable often hard to achieve collaboration across the sector.

Take a closer look at https://www.bblegaltech.com/academy/ where you will find our first crop of upcoming live and online workshops and courses. Many are free to attend (but with limited places: do sign up ASAP if you’re interested!), others priced at a specially discounted rate.

We’ve already delivered excellent sessions on GenAI for professional services and leveraging your core Microsoft stack with BLS Supporter Quiss Technology.  Coming up soon are three unique and essential leadership training courses developed and hosted at UWE Bristol, live workshops on team dynamics utilising some eye-opening interactive tools, focused expert sessions on building a great business plan, on process mapping and much more.

And we’ll be showcasing some of the most cutting-edge thought leadership around digital futures in the law during our 2nd annual WE R LegalTech Festival 6-9 May 2025.  Block your diaries out, especially for Wednesday 7th May when our full-day Conference returns in a very special location.
