Bristol Pro Bono Group seeks new members!
Bristol Pro Bono Group brings together law firms, third sector organisations, barristers chambers and university law clinics from across Bristol to co-ordinate and collaborate on supporting provision of pro bono legal advice in the region. The group was set up by Jane Emanuel at Bristol Law Centre and been running since 2019. Since then it has developed as a hub for pro bono requests as well as a forum for promoting pro bono activities. In 2023 the group has been invited to represent Bristol and the South-West nationally as a member of the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee at Westminster. The full group currently meets four times a year, with a mix of online and face to face meetings.
We are keen to grow our membership and welcome representation from law firms, chambers, in-house counsel and any other organisations, big or small, interested in supporting pro bono in and around Bristol.
If you would like to find out more please contact one of our co-chairs, Laura Jones (Pro Bono Manager, Simmons & Simmons) at laura.jones@simmons-simmons.com or Rachel Wood (Business and Law Clinic Director, UWE) at Rachel.wood@uwe.ac.uk for more information.
