BSB: Have your say on barrister referrals: how well does the process work?

The Bar Standards Board (BSB) is inviting solicitors to take part in an important research project that examines how solicitors find and recommend barristers, the factors influencing your selections, how clients are involved in and informed about these referrals, and your working relationship with barristers following the referral of a client.

Your expertise and insights are invaluable to this study, and we really appreciate you taking the 15 minutes needed to complete this questionnaire. It’s completely anonymous, and will help us to identify best practices in the solicitor-barrister referral process and strengthen transparency, choice and client engagement within legal services.

To support anonymity, we have commissioned the Centre for Strategy and Evaluation Services (CSES) to run this research. This ensures that Individual responses will never be seen by the BSB or the SRA.

The survey will be open until 6 January 2025. We would appreciate your responses before then.
