Interpreter bookings for Family Proceedings- reminder to Family Solicitors

Please can all Solicitors ensure that the listing team are notified if an interpreter is not required for a hearing. The court has had numerous bookings for interpreters recently who have not needed to attend as the party is not in attendance. Please make it clear on efiled orders who requires an interpreter and for which specific hearings. Also please make it clear if the interpreter is not required.

You can also email familylisting@bristol.countycourt.gsi.gov.uk to provide the court with updates regarding interpreter bookings. Please note that if we do not cancel a booking by 9:00am the day before the hearing then HMCTS are still charged

Three things to say about my experience of working with Bristol Law Society. Their central team, council members and general hangers-on are just about the nicest, most generous group of people working in the legal sector today.
