Court Notice :To all Family Lawyers that attend the Bristol Civil and Family Justice Centre
To all Family Lawyers that attend the Bristol Civil and Family Justice Centre - 8/8/18
Due to delays being experienced with the filing of orders in private and public law proceedings, the Designated Family Judge has directed that this order be added to all notices of hearing with immediate effect which is shown below.
It is very much a last resort for the court to arrange compliance hearings but it is important that the order is filed in a timely fashion to allow the court to progress the case or conclude the case if a final order is made.
These actions simply cannot be achieved without the order being filed.
Note to Solicitors in Private and Public Law Family proceedings:
If you are directed at the conclusion of the hearing to submit a draft order for approval, the draft order must be submitted for approval by the court within 48 hours of the hearing.
In the event that the order is not so submitted, the court may grant a further 5 working days for this to be done. However, if the order is still not filed by the end of that extended period, you will be required to attend before the Designated Family Judge, His Honour Judge Wildblood QC, to offer an explanation as to the delay.
