LOCAL FIRM BEVANS (BEVANS BRAY WALKER LIMITED) CLOSES

Bristol Law Society understands that the Solicitors Regulation Authority has intervened to close down Bristol firm, Bevans Bray Walker Limited which traded as Bevans Solicitors, Hugh Feeny or as Stephen Brice. This occurred on 19 April 2012.

The resolution to intervene relates to the firm and its principals, Alexander Henry Bevan and Guy Robin Hollebon. No such resolution was passed in relation to Robert Jones, Hugh Feeny and Stephen Brice. Although they are not currently authorised as a firm of solicitors they continue to hold unconditional practicing certificates.

The intervention protects the immediate position and safeguards documents and clients’ money. The SRA has appointed a law firm which has collected clients’ files and is keeping them safe. Any client of Bevans Bray Walker Limited and/or Solicitors with ongoing business with that firm is now asked to contact, in the first instance, Russell Cooke Solicitors LLP, whose address is at:
