RIP Nancy Nagle, Past President of BLS 1995/6
It is with sadness that we learned of the passing of Nancy Nagle on 11th February at the age of 89. A memorial service will be held at 2pm in St Adeline’s Church in Little Sodbury on 7th March.
Nancy took an unconventional route to becoming the first woman President of Bristol Law Society. An army wife, who raised four children, she only began to study law in her forties. A Partner in L. Montague Harris & Co, a small firm based in Chipping Sodbury. She joined BLS Council in 1989. Chairman of the Library Committee, Member of Conveyancing Committee and Special committee for Women and the recruitment crisis. After serving as President, she was elected to represent Bristol on the national Law Society Council.
