St John’s Chambers Family & Divorce Team win ‘Regional Family Law Chambers of the Year’ at Family Law Awards 2023

St John’s Chambers Family & Divorce team led by Judi Evans have won ‘Regional Family Law Chambers of the Year’ for LexisNexis Family Law Awards 2023. St John's Chambers was the only Set on the Western Circuit to be shortlisted.

The awards were held on Monday 27th November 2023 at Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, and the winners were chosen by a judging panel made up of the heads of the Family Law Bar Association, Resolution and the Association of Lawyers for Children, along with Family Law editors and publishing executives at the awards ceremony.

St John’s Chambers has one of the largest family law teams in the South West, with 2 silks and 29 juniors and continue to attract high-profile cases nationally. To win this award clearly demonstrates their commitment in providing first class legal services in complex and important cases, their community involvement and pro bono work, as well as providing further education to the legal profession through their regular seminars, podcasts and publications in family law.

Head of Divorce & Financial Remedy, Zoë Saunders was also nominated for ‘Family Law Case of the Year’, in Hudson v Hathway [2022] EWCA Civ 1648 in which she acted for the appellant.

Three things to say about my experience of working with Bristol Law Society. Their central team, council members and general hangers-on are just about the nicest, most generous group of people working in the legal sector today.
