The Law Society – Call to action: Legal Aid Case Studies
The Law Society’s press team are keen to speak with people about their lived experience of legal issues in relation to legal aid and access to justice.
More specifically, we are looking to highlight the impact that under-investment in legal aid has had on individual cases and experiences in the justice system. We are particularly focused on family and housing legal aid cases, although we are keen to find stories in other areas of law as well. In consultation with their solicitor and with our support, we hope some of these people may be able to share these stories with journalists. This can transform the way these issues are covered by the media, enhance public understanding of access to justice, and increase pressure on policy makers to invest in the justice system.
