Wards Solicitors appoints new Cohabitation Solicitor
Wards Solicitors has strengthened its specialist Cohabitation team with the appointment of a new Assistant Solicitor.
Rebecca Max will be based in Wards’ central Bristol office and will work on all areas of cohabitation law, from preparing cohabitation agreements and Declaration of Trusts, to assisting with disputes arising from separating unmarried couples and the division of their assets.
Rebecca, who qualified as a Solicitor in 2016, joins Wards from Novum Law, where she worked on claimant clinical negligence cases, catastrophic injury cases and also Human Rights Act work. An experienced litigator, she previously worked for DAC Beachcroft in Bristol, where she represented NHS trusts, GPs and private clinicians in defending clinical negligence claims brought against them.
Commenting, Rebecca said: “Due to my background in dealing with brain injured clients, those who have suffered a medical complication and those families who have lost a loved one, I am able to empathise with clients and put them at ease during what can often be a difficult or daunting time in their life.”
“I am really excited to join Wards and its highly regarded Disputes team, and I am looking forward to supporting our clients and local communities across the South West.”
Wards’ Head of Disputes Elizabeth Fry said: ‘We are delighted to have Rebecca on board. Her experience perfectly complements our Cohabitation team as we continue to develop our high quality service and expertise to clients.”
