When it comes to solicitors' professional indemnity insurance (PII), the sun is starting to shine and we have good news to share. Alongside improvement in capacity, appetite and premium there's a welcome return of longer-term policies.

Howden likes to keep you updated on what's currently going on in the PII market so in our latest Market Report, we do just that.

We begin by sharing our experience of PII renewals up to 1 April. And for those of you yet to renew in 2024, we forecast what you can expect and provide pointers to help smooth the process for you. We also highlight some points to consider before you accept your next PII quotation.

Claims is a topic that always generates a lot of interest, so we have that covered too. As well as our usual update, we discuss common causes of claims for those areas of practice responsible for the most notifications, namely conveyancing and wills, trusts, probate and estate administration.
