The College of Legal Practice is leading the way in preparing students for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination – the SQE. Our online legal training programmes are designed to help candidates pass the SQE, thanks to our experienced team led by CEO, Dr Giles Proctor, who was instrumental in the design of the SQE at Kaplan law school. We are an accredited, fully virtual law school based in the UK, with years of expertise in supporting students through every SQE assessment.
The legal training we offer is carefully designed to be flexible to meet the variety of students taking the SQE, including recent graduates, international students and those converting to law. We collaborate closely with partner firms and Universities, developing their SQE programmes that meets their needs. Designed for online, our courses are flexible, affordable and accessible.

Taught by experienced solicitors, our content is grounded in real-world legal practice, with expert personal supervision and support, highly rated by our students. Our Developing Legal Professionals Programme will both help prepare them to pass the SQE and develop the transactional and business skills and competencies they need to succeed in the industry.
Our Developing Legal Professionals Programme includes two modules that prepare students to pass the SQE, timed to be delivered in alignment with the SQE schedule as set by the SRA:
- Solicitors Legal Knowledge (SLK) – preparation for SQE1
- Solicitors Legal Skills (SLS) – preparation for SQE2
These modules can also be taken as part of a two- year graduate solicitor apprenticeship pathway, alongside qualifying work experience.
Our unique O Shaped Skills module gives your junior legal professionals the key human and business skills that they need to succeed in your business.
As part of firm SQE programmes, your trainees can take elective legal skills modules, or build up to a full LLM in Legal Practice that both fully prepares them to pass the SQE and for work as a qualified solicitor.
